Forza 4 Will NOT Feature Porsche

Yes, that's right. The next installment of the extremely popular racing game Forza Motorsports 4 will not have any Porsche cars. This is some pretty shocking and absurd news. I myself am a huge fan of the series, and have been since the beginning. I was really looking forward to this game, and still am, but I know there will now be a giant gaping hole right in the middle of it.

According to Turn 10, EA owns the licensing rights to Porsche, and they are unwilling to share them this time around. I don't see the problem here, EA and Turn 10 have never had issues. EA is being completely stubborn and brash in this regard. This is of course after Turn 10 shared the rights to Ferrari for EA's Need for Speed. Maybe this is all some strange logic on EA's part to try and slow the sales of Forza so NFS can keep up. If this is the case, they are sorely mistaken. If anything this will make it worse for them. I know I don't want to buy from EA after hearing about this.

I have heard that EA's deal with Porsche will be ending some time at the end of the year. Hopefully this will mean that Turn 10 will have a chance to pick up the license themselves and possibly produce a "Porsche Pack" DLC. At this point we can only hope. In the meantime, Forza 4 will be featuring cars from RUF. A company that specializes in tuning Porsches. Essentially the same cars, only a bit different, and a different badge. Only problem is that there will only be 3, as opposed to Forza 3's impressive collection of 35 Porsches.
