Forza 4 Will NOT Feature Porsche

Yes, that's right. The next installment of the extremely popular racing game Forza Motorsports 4 will not have any Porsche cars. This is some pretty shocking and absurd news. I myself am a huge fan of the series, and have been since the beginning. I was really looking forward to this game, and still am, but I know there will now be a giant gaping hole right in the middle of it.

According to Turn 10, EA owns the licensing rights to Porsche, and they are unwilling to share them this time around. I don't see the problem here, EA and Turn 10 have never had issues. EA is being completely stubborn and brash in this regard. This is of course after Turn 10 shared the rights to Ferrari for EA's Need for Speed. Maybe this is all some strange logic on EA's part to try and slow the sales of Forza so NFS can keep up. If this is the case, they are sorely mistaken. If anything this will make it worse for them. I know I don't want to buy from EA after hearing about this.

I have heard that EA's deal with Porsche will be ending some time at the end of the year. Hopefully this will mean that Turn 10 will have a chance to pick up the license themselves and possibly produce a "Porsche Pack" DLC. At this point we can only hope. In the meantime, Forza 4 will be featuring cars from RUF. A company that specializes in tuning Porsches. Essentially the same cars, only a bit different, and a different badge. Only problem is that there will only be 3, as opposed to Forza 3's impressive collection of 35 Porsches.

Hands-On Reviews from PAX 2011 by Destructoid

Alright so today I've got some hands-on reviews from Destructoid straight from PAX for you guys. Hope you enjoy :)

Skyrim

Well that was a pretty hilarious little video review. I wish there was more gameplay, but I'm sure they have some sort of rule about that. Anyways, I couldn't help but notice throughout the entire video they are both giggling and stammering like schoolgirls. Honestly that alone speaks volumes about the game. Plus, they talked about vampires being in the game as well. I remember back in Oblivion I wanted to be a vampire because I thought it would be cool. Unfortunately I was wrong, and had to spend hours doing the quest to cure yourself of the disease. Either way, I think it's cool they're back. Just don't TRY to be a vampire unless you know what you're doing. xD

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Review by Destructoid

So since I wont be able to play Deus Ex: HR, I figured I'd post up this in-depth review of the game by Destructoid. Oh yeah, there's some Fable 4 and Duke Nukem news as well.

Now I've never actually played Deus Ex before. I know, I feel horrible having never played such a great game. Honestly it looks awesome, I've just never had the chance to play. Maybe soon I'll pick it up from Steam. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the review. Sorry for the short post today, college is keeping me busy with homework.

Gamescom Preview: League of Legends Dominion

Today was another great day of news from Gamescom. What stood out for me the most, was this 30 min video made by Youtuber Total Biscuit of the new game mode in LoL called Dominion. There's also a Q&A with a Riot team member while he plays. They discuss some pretty interesting things. Overall this looks like an awesome new addition. The games are fast paced, frantic, and exciting. The ending of the video was even a bit nail-biting! I'm pretty excited for Dominion. The only problem I foresee is the community. Most LoL players can get a bit "sore" while losing, and a gametype like this can only incite rage from angry neck beards. But assuming everyone can get along and be good sports, Dominion should turn out to be extremely fun. If you haven't already, you can sign up for LoL here.
