I just wanted to make this little post to let everybody know that I am doing a Resident Evil 5 giveaway on one of my other blogs, a high definition wallpapers blog called Hi.Def.Walls, and you're invited to join in! Since I know all (or at least most) of you readers are gamers, this is an excellent opportunity to win a free game. Just in time for the release of Resident Evil 6 on Oct. 2, as well!
All you have to do is click here to go to the post, and then enter a comment (in the same way you would do so on this blog) with your Steam ID. Anything else is extra! No double posts of IDs, and IDs must be over two months old. The giveaway ends at 6:00 PM on September 30, so get in soon!

Right now, if you head on over to the Steam Store and check out their latest Weekend Deal, lasting until June 25th, 2012, you can catch Deus Ex: Human Revolution for 75% off! Originally, the game costs $29.99 by itself, but if you get this before this sale is up, it will only cost you $7.49.
That's not all, though. The special Augmented Edition of Human Revolution is also 75% off, bringing it down to just $9.99 from $39.99 originally. The Deus Ex Collection, originally priced at $59.99, which includes just about everything you need for the Deus Ex game experienced, is down to $14.99 right now!

If you want the DLC separately, it also comes at 75% off each! The lowest DLC is just 49 cents -- that's not even two whole quarters! You can get all three packs for $4.97 if you purchase it before this Weekend Sale is up (so don't wait too long).

"You play Adam Jensen, a security specialist, handpicked to oversee the defense of one of America’s most experimental biotechnology firms. But when a black ops team uses a plan you designed to break in and kill the scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes." ~Steam Store

Forza Motorsports 4 is out in the US!
And I've got my LCE copy! So far I've been playing lots and lots. I plan on doing a proper review soon, once I put a few more hours in it. For now I can say that if you want a good racing game, Forza 4 should be on your list, if not on the top. This is one of the best racing games, if not the best, racing game I have ever played.
The graphics are much improved, and very crisp, running at 60 fps. The attention to detail is insane on every car. Down to the tiny wires and hoses in the engine bay. Or the tiny LEDs on the headlights. Each car was beautifully handcrafted. Autovista mode is the perfect place to check out the full extent of the work that Turn 10 has done to make each car as detailed as possible. Also, it's a nice place to learn a lot about each car, with comments from Top Gear's own Jeremy Clarkson.
Aside from the graphics, I think it's the sound department that really makes this game stand out. Each car has a unique and glorious engine note that was perfectly replicated in game. From a small humble Nissan Micra, up the snarling flame-spouting Ferrari 458, each car sounds absolutely brilliant. I'm not exactly sure how they managed to make the cars sound so realistic, but whatever they did, they did it right.
Physics are another aspect that really sets this game apart. If you want a relaxed casual racer, turn on the assists, leave simulation steering off, and enjoy a nice cruise with your favorite car. Or if you want an intense sim racer just turn on simulation steering, turn off those assists, and enjoy some of the best car physics I have ever driven in a racing game.
So far I'm more than impressed with Forza 4. There's just so much to do, so much to take in, so much to enjoy. I hope you enjoyed this small preview of the game. If you haven't already I would highly suggest picking this game up. For now, I'll see if I can get a proper review up in the coming week.
Oh also, I apologize for the lack of pictures. I'm actually working on getting a photo album going in game. I'll be posting lots of pictures once I get that set up, when I'm (hopefully) less busy with college. Priorities first, gotta get that degree, haha.

Operation Kingfish: A CoD Short Film
So I'm not a big fan of the Call of Duty series, but I have to say, this new short released by director Jeff Chan is actually really good. I believe it has something to do with the "Find Makarov" film. They say it takes place during the transition of MW1 to MW2. For those of you that are fans of the series, whether you be a twelve year old noob or twenty-something college student, you'll love this. For everyone else, well it's a really cool little short film, and I would suggest taking the 5 minutes to sit and watch. Enjoy.

Forza 4 Will NOT Feature Porsche
Yes, that's right. The next installment of the extremely popular racing game Forza Motorsports 4 will not have any Porsche cars. This is some pretty shocking and absurd news. I myself am a huge fan of the series, and have been since the beginning. I was really looking forward to this game, and still am, but I know there will now be a giant gaping hole right in the middle of it.
According to Turn 10, EA owns the licensing rights to Porsche, and they are unwilling to share them this time around. I don't see the problem here, EA and Turn 10 have never had issues. EA is being completely stubborn and brash in this regard. This is of course after Turn 10 shared the rights to Ferrari for EA's Need for Speed. Maybe this is all some strange logic on EA's part to try and slow the sales of Forza so NFS can keep up. If this is the case, they are sorely mistaken. If anything this will make it worse for them. I know I don't want to buy from EA after hearing about this.
I have heard that EA's deal with Porsche will be ending some time at the end of the year. Hopefully this will mean that Turn 10 will have a chance to pick up the license themselves and possibly produce a "Porsche Pack" DLC. At this point we can only hope. In the meantime, Forza 4 will be featuring cars from RUF. A company that specializes in tuning Porsches. Essentially the same cars, only a bit different, and a different badge. Only problem is that there will only be 3, as opposed to Forza 3's impressive collection of 35 Porsches.
