And I've got my LCE copy! So far I've been playing lots and lots. I plan on doing a proper review soon, once I put a few more hours in it. For now I can say that if you want a good racing game, Forza 4 should be on your list, if not on the top. This is one of the best racing games, if not the best, racing game I have ever played.
The graphics are much improved, and very crisp, running at 60 fps. The attention to detail is insane on every car. Down to the tiny wires and hoses in the engine bay. Or the tiny LEDs on the headlights. Each car was beautifully handcrafted. Autovista mode is the perfect place to check out the full extent of the work that Turn 10 has done to make each car as detailed as possible. Also, it's a nice place to learn a lot about each car, with comments from Top Gear's own Jeremy Clarkson.
Aside from the graphics, I think it's the sound department that really makes this game stand out. Each car has a unique and glorious engine note that was perfectly replicated in game. From a small humble Nissan Micra, up the snarling flame-spouting Ferrari 458, each car sounds absolutely brilliant. I'm not exactly sure how they managed to make the cars sound so realistic, but whatever they did, they did it right.
Physics are another aspect that really sets this game apart. If you want a relaxed casual racer, turn on the assists, leave simulation steering off, and enjoy a nice cruise with your favorite car. Or if you want an intense sim racer just turn on simulation steering, turn off those assists, and enjoy some of the best car physics I have ever driven in a racing game.
So far I'm more than impressed with Forza 4. There's just so much to do, so much to take in, so much to enjoy. I hope you enjoyed this small preview of the game. If you haven't already I would highly suggest picking this game up. For now, I'll see if I can get a proper review up in the coming week.
Oh also, I apologize for the lack of pictures. I'm actually working on getting a photo album going in game. I'll be posting lots of pictures once I get that set up, when I'm (hopefully) less busy with college. Priorities first, gotta get that degree, haha.
